We are excited to have you come and visit us!
Welcome! While some people are quite comfortable in unfamiliar environments and can easily adapt, others need a little help. Here are some questions that we are sure you will find helpful as you make plans to visit us in person.
When are Services held?
We have two corporate Worship Services every Sunday morning. The first is from 9am-10:30am, and the second from 10:45am-12:15pm. On occasion, we have “one-service” Sundays. These are usually held on any 5th Sunday of the month and begin at 10:30am. In addition to attending one of the Corporate Worship Services, we would encourage you to attend an Adult Fellowship Group. These are available each service hour for your mutual growth and fellowship.
What is included in a Worship Service?
We believe that Worship to our great God is to be “fueled” by the Word of God, which reveals who He is in His infinite glory, and what He has done to save us because of His great love. This is why everything we do in the Worship Service is centered on the Bible. In a typical service, we Worship God together in song, through the public reading of Scripture and corporate prayer, giving, communion, and in the preaching and hearing of God’s Word.
What should I anticipate about the teaching time?
A typical sermon is around 50 minutes. We teach and preach straight from the Bible, aiming to clearly explain what the Bible means by what it says, and to make deep and careful application to our lives.
How Should I Dress?
Please feel free to dress comfortably. Our desire is that your focus would be on worshipping God with us, and not on what you are wearing. When you visit Calvary, you will notice people dressing casually, while others wear their “Sunday best.” Either way, what is most important is that you come prepared to Worship “in spirit and in truth.”
Where do I go when I get here?
We have designated special “visitor” parking for our first time guests, for your convenience. Please feel free to park in one of those spots. Once you park, please visit our “Welcome Center,” located next to the main doors, so that we can provide you with helpful information about our church, including a First-Time Visitor Packet that includes a Bible. If you have kids, youth, or special needs, this is the place where we can help meet those needs. This is also where you can get that much needed cup of coffee, and other refreshments. We are excited to have you visit us in person, and would love to meet you! Check out our Campus Map to see more.
